Welcome to the Whistler Sailing Association
Our supporters
The Whistler Sailing Association is a group of recreational dinghy sailing enthusiasts who enjoy getting out on Whistler’s Alta Lake for a sail. We meet throughout the summer Wednesday nights on the water for a fun race followed by a social. New this season we feature recreational sail days where members can simply come down with the family and get out and sail on the lake with other club members. We offer a Co-op program for members without boats. For beginners or those wanting to improve their sailing skills, we have Adult and Youth Learn-to-Sail programs.

About the WSA
The first organized sailing lesson & race programs date back to the 1980′s when as many as 50 windsurfers and a fleet of lasers raced weekly on the warm waters of Alta Lake. Whistler Sailing Association was formed in October 2008 in response to strong local interest. Formed as a non-profit society, Whistler Sailing has grown rapidly to a membership of approximately 165 sailors. As a non-profit organization, volunteers form the backbone of success. Volunteers run all of the activites, from our co-op and lesson programs, our club socials and races, to our boat repair and maintenance, and club administration.
Our Purpose
Our purpose is to promote sailing by offering affordable “Learn to Sail” courses and clinics for all ages and abilities. Furthermore we strive to promote community spirit by organizing community sailing and water sports events.
