Members Clinics

Advanced Sailing Skills Clinics for Members Only. Season Pass Members: Included, Racing Members: $20, Storage Members $20. 

The members clinics will cover the following:

  • Race Starts
  • Tactics
  • Boat handling skills
  • Rigging
  • Mark Roundings

Sailing 101 Introduction to Sailing

Always wanted to learn how to sail? This is the course for you. Learn the basics of sailing with an experienced instructor; The course will cover terminology, points of sail, knots, rigging, sail trim, tacking, & boating safety including righting a capsized boat. Monday nights course or weekend course. 7 hours of instruction. Come ready to sail! The majority of the course time will be spent on the water.


Sailing 201 Intermediate Sailing

The next level in the progression. Get more confidence with more advanced manœuvres and skills such as gybying, stopping , accelerating and docking.

CAN Sail I certification is possible upon successful demonstration of skills. The CanSail level system is a nationwide standardized certification system.

Sailing 202 Advanced Sailing

Building on the skills learned in CAN Sail I ( Sailing 101 and 201), at the end of the course the student will be able to skipper his own boat with confidence.
CAN Sail II will cover the following.

  • Mark roundings
  • Advanced sail trim
  • Boat Balance and Body positioning
  • Stop and accelerate
  • Righting a turtled boat
  • Building confidence and independence

CANSail II
CanSail II certification is possible upon successful demonstration of skills.

Private Lessons

Private lessons tailored to you are available by request.  This is a perfect option if you would like to learn with a friend or family member. Price includes 2 participants.  

RATES:

  • 2 hour private Lesson $200
  • 3 hour private Lesson $250
  • Extra participants – add $50 per participant up to a maximum of 4.  


What to Bring

Students should bring the following items to the course every day:

1. Water and snack. There is no food on site.
2. Hat & Sunglasses
3. Sunscreen
4. Towel
5. Change of Clothes
6. Old sneakers or water shoes.  Shoes must have a closed toe and heel. Flip flops are not allowed!
7. Bathing suit
8. Wind Breaker or waterproof jacket
9.  Clothes appropriate for the weather of the day

*All participants will need to sign a waiver
