2021 Adult Learn to Sail Programs Schedule

You must be a member to join the Adult Program Lessons or Clinics. Our Adult Learn to Sail program follows the Sail Canada curriculum. See our Membership web page for more information & pricing on membership.  Basic Membership starts at $20.00

Sailing 101 Introduction to Sailing/ CanSail 1

Always wanted to learn how to sail? This is the course for you. Learn the basics of sailing with an experienced instructor; The course will cover terminology, points of sail, knots, rigging, sail trim, tacking, & boating safety including righting a capsized boat. Come ready to sail! The majority of the course time will be spent on the water. Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic the 101 course is only offered as a Private lesson . 2 lessons (3 hours each ) total 6hrs of instruction  are required to complete this course. 
 Cost: $540. 
The course can also be offered as a Semi Private ( 2 participants) for the same price. So if you are a couple or have a friend that wants to learn with you this is a more cost effective way to learn. 

Sailing 201 Intermediate Sailing/CanSail 2

The next level in the progression. Get more confidence with more advanced manœuvres and skills such as gybying, stopping , accelerating and docking.

CAN Sail I certification is possible upon successful demonstration of skills. The CanSail level system is a nationwide standardized certification system.

Private Lessons

Private lessons tailored to you are available by request.  This is a perfect option if you would like to learn with a friend or family member. Price includes 2 participants.  


  • 2 hour private Lesson $220
  • 3 hour private Lesson $270
  • Extra participants – add $50 per participant up to a maximum of 4.  

What to Bring

Students should bring the following items to the course every day:

1. Water and snack. There is no food on site.
2. Hat & Sunglasses
3. Sunscreen
4. Towel
5. Change of Clothes
6. Old sneakers or water shoes.  Shoes must have a closed toe and heel. Flip flops are not allowed!
7. Bathing suit
8. Wind Breaker or waterproof jacket
9.  Clothes appropriate for the weather of the day

*All participants will need to sign a waiver
