Adult
Learn to Sail 

Discover the art of sailing with Whistler Sailing!

 

Dates: 
Sessions take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5-8 pm.
June 3, 4, 10, 11
June 17, 18, 24, 25

Join our Adult Learn to Sail Group Lessons! This course features the CanSail 1 curriculum and is designed for individuals with no previous sailing experience.
 

Our certified Sail Canada instructors provide comprehensive instruction in fundamental sailing skills within a fun and safe environment. The course covers essential topics such as water safety, rigging, knots, seamanship, and basic sailing maneuvers. Participants engage in teamwork and leadership activities as they learn both skippering and crewing the boat.
 

Upon successful demonstration of all skills and completion of the CANSail 1 checklist, participants have the opportunity to obtain Sail Canada certification. The course maintains a ratio of 6 participants to 1 instructor, ensuring personalized attention.
 

The structured course consists of 4 sessions, each lasting 3 hours, totalling 12 hours of instruction. Sessions take place on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5-8 pm.

Private Lessons

Everything from learn to sail to race performance, WSA has something for you. 

Private lessons are available and tailored to you by request. This is a perfect option if you would like to learn how to sail with a friend or family member, complete your CANSail curriculum or are looking to fine tune specific skills. No previous experience necessary. Lessons are available in a Pirate Sailboat or Hobie Wave Catamaran.

2 or 3 hour lessons available.

Everyone using the club including private lesson guests must become a Member.
